Hello Spiritual Directors

We’re creating a professional, user-friendly platform where people can find and book spiritual direction with qualified practitioners.- Fee-based, simple to use, open to anyone.
- A range of styles: traditional SD, nature-based practice, SD + counselling, SD + coaching, SD + pilgrimage, even SD + Day Crafting.
- Primarily offering sessions remotely.
- Rooted in a generous theology of presence – we believe God is already at work in every life.

Why Now?

Finding a director in the UK usually means word-of-mouth or hard-to-find directories. We want to make SD more visible, accessible and normalised – alongside therapy, coaching, or wellness.This is a pilot. The first stage is gathering a small group of directors who want to help shape it.

Who we are

Right now “we” is a small, forming, steering group – a mix of directors who want to see spiritual direction offered openly and professionally, who have the passion, skills and vision to build this.We’re UK-based, but open to voices from beyond. Our intention is to shape a platform that honours the diversity of practice, is rooted in integrity, and is genuinely user-centred.

Who we're looking for

If you’re a spiritual director who:- Wants to reach seekers beyond church lists,
- Has passion for new forms of practice (or simply a steady, rooted tradition),
- And might bring network growth skills as well as direction…… we’d love to hear from you.

Facilitating this is Bruce Stanley – founder of Day Crafting and pioneer of Forest Church. He has a background in innovation and design around personal development and popularising spirituality.My work has always been about opening up accessible, thoughtful ways for people to explore meaning. This project grows from that same impulse. I've been dreaming about developing this platform for over 20 years."Bruce qualified as a Spiritual Director with the Diocese of Bath & Wells in 1996 when he was in his 20's. He now has enough grey in his hair to better fit the profile.
